Russian Orthodox cemetery. Homer, Alaska. May 2010
This little beauty, common in some rural areas, is a Yellow-headed Blackbird.
CASTLEWOOD CANYON. NOT QUITE SPRING.
Boy, do I stink at moon photography. Not one shot from this morning came out. Perhaps some remedial training is in order. I did get this, another standard shot for Denver photogs. This sunrise shot has been done about 17 million times, but I'd never done it before.
Heck, I should have had a web site up 10 years ago. Here it is, finally: www.photogeezer.com. Have a peek. It's a work in progress, and probably always will be.
This photo is the Red-Tailed Hawk version of 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?'
Yeah, so Photogeezer is a goofy name for a web site, but I haven't come up with anything better. 'James C. Esten Fine Art Photography' is boring. I might switch to 'Pretty Good Photography'. Truth in advertising. I'm a pretty good photographer, not a great one.
Mostly I'll use this blog to show off current work.
